What is i61′s vision?

i61 is a church for people who have given up on tradition. Let’s be honest, many of us just don’t  set  foot inside a church except to be married or buried.

Why? Too often…

the messages are boring and irrelevant to real life, the church seems more interested in  your  money than you, and it’s just not an enjoyable experience.

We’ll, we’ve got news for you.

i61 is a place where you can explore issues of life and faith. We are a group of people  whose  everyday lives are being transformed by Jesus Christ. We want to share with  others what we have  found, and we want to do it in a way that makes sense. Our  invitation to you is to come, to feel free to be yourself, to ask questions, to enjoy the  experience!

At i61 you will meet new friends, enjoy upbeat live music and drama, and hear positive  messages about real issues that are relevant to everyday life.

We call it down to earth spirituality.

What we believe

We accept the Bible as the inspired Word of God, our authoritative guide in all aspects of faith and practice.

We believe in the Trinity of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit who are each fully God.

We affirm the need for a personal relationship with God. This is made possible by the work of Christ and is appropriated through repentance, faith, baptism in water and receiving the Holy Spirit.

We embrace Christ’s commission to preach the good news to all. The church is the company of those who respond to the gospel message.

We look forward to Christ’s personal return and by active godliness seek to hasten the day of his coming.

This is not intended to be a comprehensive statement of all we believe but serves to show our belief in the fundamental truths that have under-girded the true Christian faith from its inception through to this present day.
