Getting Out More

The people of i61 are on the move – out of our comfy cinema seats, off our couches, out of our own gardens, into our communities. We recognise that God’s love works most powerfully through our lives when we share it freely, so we are finding ways to share it through our work and our play. We are joining with projects that give life and help to the people around us. We are seeing needs and meeting them. Jesus announced that the kingdom of God is here, and he set about doing practical good, especially for marginalised people. We are learning to follow his example, and having a lot of creative fun while we do it. We believe that it’s not enough just to say the words ‘your kingdom come’ without working for love, peace, well-being and justice for the communities around us. We are part of the answer to the Lord’s Prayer. We are just beginning.

We realise is that change is easier when you are supported by friends. One of the ways we are supporting one another is through a twice-weekly email of short, sharp inspiration to help us stay focussed and energised. You can subscribe to that email here:
